We could say "anything is possible", but then we would be wrong. As much as we'd like to believe anything, even the most absurd of our dreams can come true, the truth is we're just kidding ourselves. And back when I was in Preschool that didn't matter to me. Or rather, I hadn't figured that one out.

That was maily why for a whole year I was afraid to go to my school's bathroom. Why? Becuase of that sick childish notion that anything can happen, and that lack of knowledge that legends are just that -Legends. I honestly look back at this leyend and feel like dying in a corter, this was the mother of all the imposible leyends you've ever heard. And I believed evey word of it.

Rumor had it that once in a magical time called NEVER, my school used to have ballet lessons; and that once a very misfortunate student had gotten a neck cramp becuase she had forgotten to warmup and subsecuently her head had fallen off her shoulders. Therefore she was condemned to behead young girls in the last bathroom stall for the rest of eternity. Makes perfect sense don't you think?

Specially the neck cramp thing and how it all perfectly relates to the last bathroom stall -Priceless. Now seriously, how in the world did I make myself believe that? I knew as good as anybody else that leg (or in this case neck) cramps don't make your limbs detatch from the rest of your body. And if so, why would one with such luck behead others for their own mistake?

It's all part of the magic of being young and foolish. Believing that anything can happen.

I went to that bathroom stall a few years later, guess what? I still have my head.

    Enjoy,

Now imagine this... you can think, you can feel even fear but you can´t move out of your bed; you have lived 15 years as a normal guy, but there is no longer freedom of moving, now you star forgetting the monsters under your bed; that is not a dream, that’s not an illusion is the daily life of Abraham.

Abraham was a normal guy with friends, family and all that stuff, but a rare disease make him become a vegetable, in his bed his entire life; a life full of thoughts because there was nothing else to do laying in an empty bed. During his normal life he was an extraordinary guy with a talent that anyone else had in the world he was a genius of the medicine sciences, he discovered how to cure blood cancer disease and other things, now laying in the bed his brain started to thing in a lot of thing his memory evolved in a way he can remember every single thought he have had.

There was a machine that can say the feelings he was having but only the feelings, the sad side of that is that they never receive a feeling from Abraham, because when you think and create a lot you forget all of your feelings, but well no one knew what happened inside of his brain.

Years passed and his parents died as long as all of his older brothers, then in his last 2 minutes of life he said something before he died, the words were: "I discovered how to cure myself all this time but I could never say it". After that he died and then on that every one of us know and we discover how to save ourselves but we never say it nor express it.

Sometimes when you look around as simple view everything looks exactly the same except you, but if you take your time, you would figure out that, everybody have some differences, between the others.

This is the story of Tim, he used to have four friends, they were called, the "five_5", but he always felt, like a weirdo, like a freak, because of his head. When he was born the doctor took him in a wrong way and he fell down, and his head transform in a square, because in the floor was a little cube with a strange liquid, which transformed little Tim.

When he was five, he figured out, that his head was different from everybody and he start to feel like a freak. But he was ok, he used to think he was special, until the “Prom Day”, when he realized everybody has a strange thing, for example Tina who was the most popular girl, has 6 toes, Henry the captain of football team, smells like roasted chicken, Emily, Tina`s best friend, likes to chew her toes, and the most strange was, Philip because he likes to wear his mom`s clothes and run around his house.
That night Tim discovered that we are all different; each of us has something different that makes us special.

    Sometimes we feel so small.
Like we don't belong where we are...
The thing is, it doesn't matter when you are literatly small. But then you start growing, and you begin to see how the world around you becomes bigger.
And then you keep growing and begin believing yourself even smaller.
I felt that way as a teenager. But then I thought, if the world is so big, if you want to get noticed, noticed at something you are good at, then you have to begin small, because only that way, will you grow with the world.
So I began small, literatly and figuratively, to do what like best. I began growing, and so did the world, but I made it undestand that it wouldn't grow alone.
Of course sometimes the world got ahead of me, and so I had to hurry and catch up to it again. It took a lot of work, but finally, I began to see how the world was alwasy going to be bigger than me, but I wouldn't let it crush me. And so i worked harder, because it was my work I wanted to show to the world.
I give this as a piece of advice people. Never think of yourself as nothing in this world. Because if you want to grow, you will.
If I didn't want to, this book wouldn't be in your hands.

  7. PICTURE 1:

They say your whole life passes through your eyes before you die, everything you did, everything you shouldn’t have done, all your failures, mistakes, achievements, and unachieved goals to be precise, but as skeptical as he was, Zack Thomas never bought any word of it. To be fair, most people don’t believe these kinds of things. I guess some of us live our lives based on the “seeing is believing” philosophy and it’s not quite wrong, but in Zack’s case he must have better believed before he actually “saw”.

It all started normally, another boring and routinary morning. Zack picked up his books from the floor, slipped them in his backpack carelessly and went downstairs to take his breakfast, which, since he could remember, consisted in cereal and juice. He finished quickly and headed to school in his red Jetta, which was not very helpful on days like these, when he ran late for classes.

Besides speed, the one thing that could decide Zack’s fate on getting in time or not to school was traffic lights and today Zack felt as if someone “up there” was enjoying watching him in distress because every single light turned red as soon as he came close to it. He couldn’t bare the thought of being defeated by something as dumb as traffic lights, so he sped up to cross without caring if the light was red or not. Not a very wise decision considering that an immense Coca Cola trailer was about to cross the street at the same time as he pulled of his stunt.

In less than two minutes all what was left to look at in the interception of Oakland Boulevard was a red Jetta crushed by the weigh of a Coca Cola trailer on top of it, and of course about 30 cans of soda spread not far from the tragic scene. Why had this happened? Was this proof that karma really existed? Honestly, Zack didn’t care because his head was already full with more important thoughts than the existence of karma. All he could think about was what he wanted to do that day, what he wanted to say to each person he was going to see at school, but most importantly what he was going to say to Maria. Now all what was left was to beg for at least another day of existence. Meanwhile, he felt awful about all the things he had done that had hurt other people, all the goals he hadn’t accomplished yet, and all of the things he wanted to say that would never be heard.

Zack craved for a second chance to live his life, but sometimes it’s just too late. Maybe if he hadn’t run late, but who’s to say, it’s possible that he would have died anyway, but from falling down the stairs instead. What is a fact is that if he hadn’t left so many things on hold he wouldn’t have had so many regretful thoughts the few minutes before his death. As the corpse laid rigid inside his coffin the most prominent thought on every single head at the funeral was the one of remembering that life is short and death is always a day nearer, so we should live life as if it was our last day.

  8. Arym: I really enjoed what you wrote. I found it very comical that you were scared of the "headless girl" because there was also a story about a ghost at my elementary school and I was terrified of it.

Erick: I really liked your story. I found it very interesting and of course, we all know how to help ourselves, but we don't do it. Sometimes we build our own obstacles and that is very wrong.

  9. ARYM: I loved your story. =D
I think it's very cool, and yes, bathrooms are pretty spooky things when you are children. There are bathroom legends in every school, yep, there is always one. Your story was great.

MONICA TYE: Very sad, but very true also. Sometimes we take life as something that just passes by, something that's suppossed to happen, like life is obligated to give us another day. But the truth is it isn't, and we sometimes don't enjoy it. And then life says "time's up" and we begin to see the things that REALLY matter in it. Things we wanted to say, or do. You are right, we don't know when our last day is.
